Description
During the Civil War, a European agent plans to seize western territory and control of California's wealth by forcing the state to break away from the union. Roy Rogers is a relay station attendant who gains the name of "Wild Bill" by overpowering some of the raiders.

Roy Rogers is wrongfully incarcerated for the death of the thoroughbred, Golden Sovereign. While attempting to mate his mare with a superb stallion, the mare dies and the real villain is temporarily free and clear.
